Here it is! Direct access to the white non-curing clay putty that everyone has fallen in love with! Specifically made for creating the iris “texture” area of resin eyes, this non-toxic white putty will never harden, making it fully compatible with resin eye bases.
The term “Eye Maker’s Putty” is something I came up with strictly for listing purposes, the manufacturer does not call it that. I think the best translation for what they call it is “3 Dimensional Eye Pattern Soft Pottery”
Please note: Yes, you can still use polymer clay to make iris textures – which is what is used by COUNTLESS resin doll eye makers around the world, especially Cernit and FIMO Soft clays – however, raw clay (if not cured/baked) has the potential to poorly interact with resin/plastic surfaces over time. Eventually this could cause a chemical reaction between the two that can result in degrading quality of your resin eyes.
This product eliminates the need to bake the eyes, and any risk associated with a raw clay reaction, as it is not a polymer clay and does not react the same with other plastics when left in it’s raw natural state.
It NEVER hardens. Not with heat or time left to exposed air. It’s sole purpose is for create the center iris area that is then colored and sealed/domed with UV Resin or 2 Part Epoxy Resin.
