In this article, I’ll discuss these cute little 14mm resin eye chips molds from Cubeco! Be sure to watch my upcoming full video tutorial on YouTube showing you how to use these molds using several different methods to create stunning eye chips for your Blythe and Icy dolls!

The mold to the left creates a pre-designed “textured” eye chip that can be made using resin, polymer clay, air dry clay, and/or gypsum powder (plaster).
These are a very popular mold from Cubeco, and rightfully so! Although I’ll always prefer hand texturing my own eye chips for Blythe and Icy Dolls, these molds make an excellent way to create some really stunningly cool looking eye chips, without needing to learn how to sculpt/texture your own.

This eye chip was created using the mold shown above, and cast in white UV resin.
Because it was cast in resin, the surface will not be as porous or as easy to apply powder colors, but still VERY much doable! Be sure to watch my YouTube video tutorial to show you the many ways to do this!
Where to Get Them!
Before we go further, let’s first talk about “where” to get these molds. You can always check my Etsy shop first to see if I have any in stock, as of 3/6/2025, I do have several still available in different designs. However, as you all know, I’m phasing out of the “retail” aspect of my business so I can focus on creating my own work again, and I’m also re-entering the “Corp” scene.
With that being said, I have decided to give you a direct link to the Cubeco shop through a trusted online agent, SuperBuy! They ship to over 80 countries worldwide, have excellent service compared to some other “on-line agents” such as Bhiner… (My story on those guys coming soon) and will allow you to purchase from TaoBao shops without needing to read or understand Chinese.

You can click on the image to the left to be taken directly to the source! Or click here!
There are currently 3 design options, and each one has a photo provided as a reference.
They are 14mm, and fit seamlessly into eye mechs.
International Shipping
Keep in mind, you will pay 2 shipping fees. The first is paid with the items and is for the local shipping fee for Seller’s to ship their products to the Superbuy warehouse, which is often a very low cost. Then, once your items arrive at the warehouse, they are checked by Superbuy, combined, and then shipped to you. That is the second shipping fee for the International Shipping from China to the USA, or wherever you may reside.
Although I cannot give any specific advice, I’ll just say that air shipment has always been well worth it to me. Unless you are willing and able to wait months to receive your items, air shipping will get your items to you much faster. If you reach out to SuperBuy, they can help get you the best International Shipping Quotes for your needs.
Wait to place your order until you have everything you think you may need or want, which can be from multiple different shops and sellers, so that they can combine the shipping, and get you the best value.
International shipping fees are high, plus we now have possible tariffs and other things that could increase costs even more.
Keep in mind, these world events are going to impact everyone regardless. So, by going through an Agent and/or directly through the manufacturer, you can greatly reduce your costs due to 3rd party markup. It’s not my intention to ruin it for retailers, but as an Artist myself, I understand the value and necessity of shopping for the best price.
Some Additional Tips
I was a retailer for a long time, and there are still benefits of purchasing through a local retailer – however, even with the small fees associated with using some Agent services, your final cost should be the same, or less, than if you purchase from a retailer who often pays for the Cost of the Item, International Shipping, Selling Fees, Overhead, and other Costs they have to roll into their price to make a profit.
If you try to figure out the shipping on your own, be sure to use the correct metric system when getting shipping quotes. Check to be sure you are properly calculating your costs correctly to avoid confusion. Or, simply use Superbuy’s “Shopping Enquiry” service that is usually under just $2.
For example, most of us here in the USA calculate mail by the ounce, pound, and inches, whereas China, and Superbuy uses grams and centimeters.
I know it may seem a bit complicated at first, but it’s well worth the learning curve in my opinion.
It’s very difficult for a lot of folks to navigate their way through TaoBao. I’ve saved you the trouble of finding these shops yourself so that you can now go directly to Superbuy and purchase all your favorite products from quality Sellers like Cubeco 🥂😊❤️
Happy Eye Making!
